Round off your Amsterdam Produce Summit (APS) experience with a fascinating tour of one of the world’s leading fresh produce and logistics providers
A group of up to 30 will have the opportunity to visit Robinson Fresh and C.H. Robinson on Wednesday November 14, the final day of The Amsterdam Produce Summit.
Robinson Fresh not only specialises in supplying fresh produce but offers a multitude of fresh solutions – from customer insights and marketing support, to category and inventory management.
Their sister-company C.H. Robinson, is one of the world’s largest third-party logistics providers (3PL), providing a broad portfolio of logistics services, fresh produce sourcing and Managed Services through their global network. In Europe, C.H. Robinson is one of the leading road transportation and freight forwarders with a dynamic network of offices across the region.
The evolution of the consumer shopping journey is always in motion, and Robinson Fresh focuses on a category management approach to ensure they pass the benefits along to every stakeholder they serve; customers, carriers and growers.
Their category management approach is based on an understanding of the consumer, the trends in the marketplace, the pressures and advances in supply chain and innovation happening within their commodities. The Robinson Fresh team of highly skilled analysts dedicate their time to four core areas; Consumer Insights, Category Supply Chain Analytics, BI Reporting and Data Science. The combined analysis drives actionable recommendations back to their stakeholders across their supply chain.
Tour participants will leave the Hilton Doubletree Hotel at 09.00 by coach and arrive at the C.H Robinson / Robinson Fresh headquarters in Amsterdam by 09.30.
Attendees will be met on arrival and given a brief overview of the company. Gary York, the V.P. of global sales and marketing for Robinson Fresh, will give a presentation on some primary global consumer trends impacting the fresh supply chain from supplier to receiver along with an overview of how Robinson Fresh insights are supporting their stakeholders across the supply chain through these services. The presentation will hone in on how these insights are applied in an evolving omni-channel environment.
There will be plenty of time for questions and networking before returning to the Hilton Doubletree Hotel at around 13.00.
